Trek Ireland in Killarney

Killarney

Killarney National Park contains lakes, surrounding hills, bogland and mountains that offer varied walking terrain for the intrepid explorer and some of the most beautiful views in all of Ireland. Explore Ross Island with Anglo-Norman castle and 4,000 year old copper mines, said to be the oldest yet discovered in Europe, or take the boat across Loch Lein 'the Lake of Learning' to Inisfallen where Brian Boru, High King of Ireland, received his tutelage 1,000 years ago.

Walking trails also cover Strickeen mountain, the smallest of the MacGillycuddy Reeks, with panoramic views of Beaufort and Corca Dhuibhne, or explore the Old Kenmare Road, past Torc waterfall towards the Friars Glen.
