Reefert Church & Saint Kevin's Cell, Glendalough, County Wicklow
The Valley of Glendalough, County Wicklow • 24m
Flashing sunshine sparkles through a canopy of trees as you go up sloping steps towards Poulanaas waterfall that cascades down the side of the Lugduff valley.
Continue up the steep gradient to the top where you descend the path towards Reefert Church and Saint Kevin’s Cell, two monastic ruins from the days when Glendalough was a bustling city of monks and scholars between the 6th – 11th century AD.
Along the way, Michael will talk about what life must have been like for the Hermit all those years ago, and you can see the very place he sat and prayed during his time here.
